Dr. Jia joined the BDC in 2019. She works in the BDC Autoantibody/HLA Core Facility and has been involved in multiple national and international clinical trials of type 1 diabetes. Her research focuses on investigating humoral autoimmunity and serological biomarkers of type 1 diabetes, developing and optimizing autoantibody assays for predicting and screening type 1 diabetes, celiac disease, and other related autoimmune diseases. The goal of her research is to translate her findings into contributions to early detection, precise prediction, and disease progression monitoring for type 1 diabetes.
