This Request for Applications (RFA) is issued by the Linda Crnic Institute for Down Syndrome to support the submission of grant proposals to the NIH INvestigation of Co-occurring conditions across the Lifespan to Understand Down syndromE (INCLUDE) Project.
Applicants should have already submitted a grant proposal to NIH in the field of Down syndrome research and be planning to resubmit in response to an INCLUDE Project RFA or Notice of Special Interest (NOSI). Applicants should have notification from NIH that the grant will not be funded and have plans to revise and resubmit an improved proposal addressing concerns raised during peer review by an NIH study section. Grant proposals should propose defined research projects that will further our understanding of key Down syndrome phenotypes or co-morbidities and advance the mission and vision of the Crnic Institute, as well as the INCLUDE Project and the larger Down syndrome research community.
Awards are up to $50,000 and no indirect costs are provided. A budget is not required for application.
Applications are due November 1, 2021
Funding decisions will be communicated to applicants December 1, 2021
Funding of successful applicants begins January 1, 2022.
