Judith A. Reaven, Ph.D.; B.A. Psychology, Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee. M.A. and Ph.D. Clinical Psychology, University of Missouri - Columbia, Columbia Missouri. Dr. Reaven, Associate Professor of Psychiatry, Pediatrics, University of Colorado School of Medicine. Dr. Reaven is currently Associate Director of JFK Partners, (the Colorado University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities – UCEDD) as well as Director of Research for JFK Partners/Developmental Pediatrics, University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. She is a licensed clinical psychologist and has worked in the field of developmental disabilities as a clinician, researcher and educator since 1985. Dr. Reaven completed her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University, Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Missouri – Columbia, and a post-doctoral fellowship in developmental disabilities from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Her clinical and research interests include identifying and treating the co-occurrence of mental health symptoms in children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders.  She is the primary developer of a cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) group treatment intervention for anxiety in autistic children and adolescents (Facing Your Fears). She is particularly interested in the implementation of Facing Your Fears in “real-world” settings, particularly schools. Dr. Reaven has been the PI on grants funded by private foundations dedicated to autism research (CAN, Autism Speaks, OAR), and federal agencies (NIMH and HRSA) exploring the implementation of the Facing Your Fears program.  She is currently PI on a PCORI funded award comparing the effectiveness of two school-based interventions for anxiety in autistic students (Facing Your Fears compared to Zones of Regulation).  She has co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and has presented her research internationally and nationally.
