Kristen Kaiser, MA, MPH is an Instructor and LEND Family Discipline Director with JFK Partners. As a LEND Faculty member, Kristen mentors family trainees and participates in training multidisciplinary professionals in disability and the family experience.
Kristen has been involved in autism research since 2009. She served as Co-Investigator for the Colorado Parent Mentoring program. She was also the Parent Liaison for the Parent Perspectives on Meaningful Outcomes of Early Intervention study, and the Facing Your Fears Telehealth study.
Kristen helped create the Colorado Department of Education’s (CDE) Educational Identification of ASD Guidelines and was a member of the Colorado Department of Education Autism Task Force for six years. She was also the Co-Chair of the Education Subcommittee for CO-CANDO. In 2008, Kristen founded the non-profit support organization The Living Spectrum, with over 1,000 online members state-wide and monthly live, in-person events in the Denver metro area.
For 8 years, Kristen was also the Executive Program Director at The Joshua School, a CDE approved facility school for children with autism and other developmental disabilities.
She holds an MPH from the Colorado School of Public Health, BA in English from the University of California, Santa Barbara and an MLA in English and American Literature from Harvard University.
