Renee Charlifue-Smith, M.A., CCC-SLP, is a Senior Instructor in the Department of Pediatrics, University of Colorado School of Medicine, and has been with JFK Partners since 1990. She is the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) Training Co-Director and Speech-Language Pathology Discipline Director and the ENRICH Early Intervention Team Coordinator, which has provided services and training since 1994. Her areas of specialization include assessment of young children, routines-based intervention, autism spectrum disorder, and positive behavior support. She is certified in Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) and Hanen (It Takes Two to Talk, More Than Words, Learning Language and Loving It), and is trained in Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets (PROMPT). Renee completed an Irving Harris Mid-Career Fellowship in Infant Mental Health and Child Development. She is pursuing a doctorate in Education and Human Development with a concentration in Inclusive Early Childhood Education at the University of Colorado Denver. Renee is part of the Office of Special Education Program’s Early Childhood Intervention Doctoral Consortium (ECiDC) with focus on policy, research, leadership, and education of infants and young children with high-intensity support needs and their families.
