INFECTIOUS DISEASES CLINICAL TRIALS UNIT


The Colorado Infectious Diseases Clinical Trials Unit (IDCTU) conducts a wide range of clinical trials which include HIV/AIDS, COVID-19, MPOX, bacterial and fungal infections. 

The IDCTU supports the AIDS Clinical Trial Group (ACTG) in improving the management of HIV and its comorbidities, developing a cure for HIV; and innovating treatments for hepatitis B and emerging infectious diseases. 

The IDCTU is one of 76 Clinical Research Sites that comprise the ACTG. ACTG trials are funded by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NAIDS). 

The University of Colorado IDCTU research team includes doctors, specialized research nurses and support staff committed to providing excellent care and quality clinical research.
