COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD (CAB)
The Community Advisory Board (CAB) of the Colorado IDCTU exists to enhance dialogue between researchers and individuals affected by HIV. Anyone with an interest in the HIV/AIDS research agenda is welcome to attend monthly CAB meetings. CAB Meetings are held on the last Friday of every month at 11:30 am at the Anschutz Health Sciences Building, 1890 N Revere CT on the CU Anschutz Medical Campus. Please call 303-724-5931 for more information or directions.
Specifically, the CAB aims to:
• Provide a local forum for individuals infected with or affected by HIV to discuss issues relating to feasibility, recruitment access, community acceptability and other social or political factors in HIV/AIDS research.
• Encourage participation from diverse affected communities as identified by race, culture, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, or socioeconomic status.
• Solicit community feedback regarding University Hospital's Infectious Diseas Group Practice (IDGP) and its HIV/AIDS care and treatment programs.
• Communicate comments and proposals regarding research and treatment issues to IDCTU researchers and UCH clinic staff.
