Infectious Diseases Clinical Trials Unit

INFECTIOUS DISEASES CLINICAL TRIALS UNIT

The Colorado Infectious Diseases Clinical Trials Unit (IDCTU) conducts a wide range of clinical trials which include HIV/AIDS, COVID-19, MPOX, bacterial and fungal infections.

The IDCTU supports the Advancing Clinical Therapeutics Globally (ACTG) network in improving the management of HIV and its comorbidities, developing a cure for HIV; and innovating treatments for hepatitis B and emerging infectious diseases.

The IDCTU is one of 76 Clinical Research Sites that comprise the ACTG. ACTG trials are funded by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NAIDS).

The IDCTU also supports the COVID-19 Prevention Network (CoVPN) and their mission to conduct efficacy trials for COVID-19 vaccines and monoclonal antibodies.

The University of Colorado IDCTU research team includes doctors, specialized research nurses and support staff committed to providing excellent care and quality clinical research.

The IDCTU is located at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Visit our Current & Upcoming Studies page to explore our trials and become a valued participant in our groundbreaking clinical research.
