Program Overview

Our fellowship-training program offers outstanding opportunities for clinical training at a diversity of care sites including the University of Colorado Hospital, Denver Health, the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center, and National Jewish Health. These training sites provide high-quality, state-of-the-art care to patients from a wide range of backgrounds.

The mission of the program is to provide fellows with the opportunity to develop clinical skills in recognizing, diagnosing, and treating infectious diseases, while also supporting the pursuit of scholarship and other professional activities that prepare graduates for a variety of career opportunities.

The Infectious Diseases research program at the University of Colorado offers a structured and robust environment for learning how to identify research questions and develop concrete plans to pursue them. The division is growing, with highly productive faculty who have diverse interests and who understand and support the unique financial and training needs of clinician-scientists pursuing research careers. Close collaborations with departments such as Microbiology and Immunology further expand research and mentorship opportunities.
