Hospitalist Medicine Services are committed to providing the highest quality medical care to hospitalized patients by practicing patient-centered, personalized, evidenced-based medical care.
The Hospital Medicine Services are general medicine teaching services staffed by Hospitalist Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (nurse practitioners and physician assistants) from the University of Colorado Division of Hospital Medicine. These teams care for the full spectrum of floor and step-down status medical patients, accounting for approximately 60% of the medicine patients at University of Colorado Hospital. Our teams have also cared for the large majority of non-ICU COVID patients during the pandemic. Hospitalist Medicine Services are committed to providing the highest quality medical care to hospitalized patients by practicing patient-centered, personalized, evidenced-based medical care.
We collaborate effectively with multiple subspecialty teams in caring for
a wide variety of complex patients, with the goal of improving inpatient care.
In addition to clinical excellence, the Hospital Medicine Services are uniquely
dedicated to educating the next generation of multidisciplinary medical
providers, including medical students, advanced practice provider students, and Advanced Practice Fellows (nurse
practitioners or physician assistants completing a fellowship in hospital medicine).
