The Division of Hospital Medicine, Department of Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Anschutz Medical Campus seeks academic hospitalists at the Instructor, Assistant Professor and Associate Professor levels to join our vibrant hospitalist group practicing and teaching Hospital Medicine.

The Division of Hospital Medicine, Department of Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Anschutz Medical Campus hires physicians at the Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level to join our Nocturnist team. Our nocturnist position offers exciting clinical opportunities at our Anschutz campus at the University of Colorado Hospital which is a busy 673-bed hospital that has been recently named to the 2017-2018 US News and World Report Honor Roll. Our night positions have an emphasis on teaching and excellent patient care and we work closely with the University of Colorado Internal Medicine residency program and our Advanced Practice Fellowship Program (for Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistants) providing teaching and oversight to the house staff and APP fellows.
Our hospitalists are full-time faculty and are offered the opportunity for academic promotion judged on criteria of demonstrated excellence as a clinician/educator/scholar. As a Hospitalist NP/PA, you will work in collaboration with the Hospitalist physician faculty and provide inpatient clinical care to a variety of patients including observation, floor, and step-down level patients, as well as oncology patients. You will be expected to contribute to the educational mission of the group, and a portion of your time will be spent on teaching services that include our Advanced Practice Fellows.
As a Hospitalist NP/PA, you will work in collaboration with the Hospitalist physician faculty and provide inpatient clinical care to a variety of patients including observation, floor, and step-down level patients, as well as oncology patients. You will be expected to contribute to the educational mission of the group, and a portion of your time will be spent on teaching services that include our Advanced Practice Fellows.
Additionally, you will be expected to devote time to non-clinical duties such as administrative obligations, teaching, or other projects of interest that align with the hospitalist group mission. These responsibilities may include input into hospital systems, development of pathways, and committee work. You will also be expected to attend the group's meetings and educational events. Other duties may be assigned as need arises.
