Sheyenne Lewis Headshot

Sheyenne Lewis, NP | March 2025-2026 Cohort

Sheyenne is from Gallup, New Mexico. She earned her BS in nursing from the University of New Mexico and MSN from Georgetown University. Before starting the fellowship, she worked as an RN for over 15 years, primarily in medical surgical, cardiac care, and travel. Outside of work she enjoys spontaneous adventures, trail running, natural hot springs, spending time with friends and family, and attending New Mexico’s Balloon Fiesta. If she wasn’t in healthcare, she would explore a career in the home building industry!

Rachel Rainier Headshot

Rachel Rainier, NP | March 2025-2026 Cohort

Rachel is from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She earned her BA in psychology from UNC Chapel Hill, and a BSN and MSN from Thomas Jefferson University. Before starting the fellowship, she worked as an RN in various specialties for the last 7 years. She most recently worked in Bone Marrow Transplant at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Outside of work she enjoys reading, Pilates, travel, and cheering on the Eagles! If she wasn’t in healthcare, she’d be a travel agent!

Lila Lehtola Headshot

Lila Lehtola, RD, LD, PA-C | March 2025-2026 Cohort

Lila is from Dallas, Texas. She graduated from the Duke University Physician Assistant Program. Prior to coming to CU, she worked as a sports dietician for 5 years and as a PA in a GI outpatient setting. Outside of work she has a lot of hobbies! She enjoys hiking, skiing, rock climbing, playing ukulele, traveling, playing soccer, crafting, cooking, and surfing. If she wasn’t in healthcare, she’d be a backup dancer for Justin Bieber and a part-time ski instructor for little kids!

Meghan Books

Meghan Books, NP | September 2025-2026 Cohort

Meghan is from Denver, Colorado. She earned her MSN from Emory University in 2024. Before starting the fellowship, she worked as an RN for 12 years on an orthopedics and spine surgical unit, has had short stints in medical missions, camp nursing, and home health care. Outside of work she enjoys reading, baking, gardening, traveling, and playing piano. If she wasn’t in healthcare, she would be a flower farmer and florist! 

Molly Kirscher

Molly Kirscher, NP | September 2025-2026 Cohort

Molly is from Highlands Ranch, Colorado. She earned her BSN at Regis University in Denver in 2018 and her MSN at Colorado State University Pueblo in 2024. Prior to coming to CU, she worked as an ICU nurse at Advent Health Littleton for 5 years. When she’s not working, she enjoys traveling, running, hiking, skiing, reading, baking, and dancing.  If she wasn’t working in healthcare, she’d love to be a detective! 

Mark Macapagal

Mark Macapagal, PA-C | September 2025-2026 Cohort

Mark is from St. Paul, Minnesota. He completed his MPAS here at the CU Anschutz CHAPA program in May of 2025. Before the fellowship, he worked as an EMT/ER Tech at UCHealth Memorial North Hospital in Colorado Springs from 2020-2022. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, rock climbing, skiing, scuba diving, playing tennis, and camping with his pu,p Henry. If he wasn’t in healthcare, he would be a disability caseworker! 

Jack Schultz

Jack Schultz, PA-C | September 2025-2026 Cohort

Jack is from York, Pennsylvania. He earned his MPAS from CU Anschutz in May of 2025. Prior to starting the fellowship, he worked as a nurse tech in critical care, ER, and med surgery, as a medical assistant in dermatology, and as a nurse aide in ALF and SNIF. When he is not working, he enjoys road tripping, hiking, skiing, cycling, camping, snowshoeing, weightlifting, gardening, and crossword puzzles. If he wasn’t working in healthcare, he would work as a curator at the Botanical Gardens! 

Jacqueline Toomey

Jackie Toomey, NP | September 2025-2026 Cohort

Jackie is from Evergreen, Colorado. She earned her MSN from the University of Colorado in 2025. Before the fellowship, she worked in the Cardiac and Medical ICU at University of Colorado Hospital from 2019-2025. Outside of work, she enjoys horseback riding, baking, gardening, reading, and spending time with her family and dogs. If she wasn’t working in healthcare, she would pursue a career as a professional show jumper! 

Nicole Wood

Nicole Wood, PA-C | September 2025-2026 Cohort

Nicole is from Lexington, Kentucky.  She earned her MMS in PA Studies from Lincoln Memorial University-Harrogate in August of 2024. Before starting the fellowship, she worked as an emergency care technician, and as a medical assistant in various specialties including bariatrics, hand surgery, and family medicine. When she is not working, she enjoys weightlifting, reading, cooking, and spending time in nature. If she wasn’t in healthcare, she would be a florist or a nature photographer!
