Melanie Lambert PT, DPT, DHSc is a Clinical Assistant Professor within the hybrid Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs in Colorado Springs, CO. Her main responsibilities include teaching foundational clinical skills content within the hybrid pathway of the DPT program. She has been an orthopedic physical therapist for sixteen years, serving in various roles throughout her career. Dr. Lambert’s orthopedic practice and love for teaching and learning have continually influenced her academic research and ultimately created the foundation for two arms of research in education and orthopedic practice. Her main research interests include exploring movement in practice, specifically in how physical therapists use movement within their clinical decision making and embody the use of movement throughout their patient management. Dr. Lambert earner her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) at the University of Kansas Medical Center and her Doctor of Health Science (DHSC) from the University of Indianapolis.
