Congratulations on choosing the best medical specialty, PM&R! We are thrilled you are interested in our residency program here at the University of Colorado. We pride ourselves on being welcoming, comprehensive, and rigorous. We aim to recruit and train future leaders in the field of PM&R. My favorite part of my job as Program Director is mentoring, supporting, and challenging our residents to become the best version of themselves, as physicians, leaders, educators, scholars, and as people.
For medical students interested in a residency in PM&R, we have two options from which to choose: Adult or Pediatric. Our Adult PM&R residency program offers a broad experience across multiple award-winning clinical sites across the metro Denver area, with exposure to all aspects of Physiatric care. Residents begin with us as PGY-2s after completion of a preliminary or transitional year. At this time, we do not offer a categorical (PGY1) slot at our program.
We also offer a world-renowned Pediatrics/PM&R combined residency. At the completion of the combined program, graduates are board-eligible for both PM&R and Pediatrics. This is a joint offering between the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the Department of Pediatrics.
For more information on either track, please select Overview from the options on the left.
We look forward to working with you, future colleagues!
