Kerry Jessup, LPC, ATR-BC earned a master’s degree in Art Therapy from New York University in 2015. Prior to joining MIBH, Kerry most recently worked at the Colorado Mental Health Institute at Fort Logan, a state psychiatric hospital in Denver, where she established art therapy as a clinical discipline. She currently serves as Vice President of the Colorado Art Therapy Association. Kerry is licensed as a professional counselor in Colorado and holds a national credential as a board-certified art therapist. Kerry is passionate about working with adults who have experienced traumatic brain injuries and psychological trauma. She views the arts as a means of bypassing language when words fail to describe experiences, memories, and emotions. She employs a humanistic, person-centered approach by helping patients recognize their own resiliency and capacity for growth and change.
