Below is some helpful information on what to expect, bring, and prepare for during EVAL/IOP here at MIBH. Below is a map of the campus with a list of food options, some frequently asked questions and answers, and important phone numbers.

Food options on campus include: Subway, Jimmy John's, Chai Chai Ethnic Kitchen, Etai's Green House.

Food options near campus: Panera Bread, Zero Degrees, Firehouse Subs, Sushi Rama / Osaka Ramen, Noodles and Company, Jersey Mike's Subs, Chipotle, Great Greek Mediterranean Grill, IHOP, Smashburger, Cedar Creek Pub, Ambli Mexic.

FAQs for Eval/IOP:

  • Where do I start my day?

Building 406 (red star on map) – 12477 E. 19th Ave. Aurora CO 80045.  Always look to your itinerary for exact start times and specific instructions. 

 

  • Why does my schedule change so often?

 Your clinical providers may decide to make changes to your schedule for many reasons: treatment plan changes, interdisciplinary team decisions, patient bandwidth, and provider schedule changes can all affect your schedule.

Kim will leave an updated copy of your itinerary in your telehealth room.

 

  • Where can I get more gift cards?

The finance team will disseminate new gift cards on Friday mornings for the following week.  If you need gift cards to be exchanged or additional cards before Friday, please let Kim know.

  • How much can I be reimbursed for if I buy my own meals?

Up-to $15 with an itemized receipt.

An option for a King Soopers grocery gift card is also available for you to shop and cook your own meals at Col Row.

  • Does Hyatt House have a laundry service?

This can be coordinated through the front desk staff at the hotel.  There is a fee scale based on what you need washed.  Please save your receipts if you wish to be reimbursed for this service.

  • Where are the restaurants nearby?

Please reference the map with on campus eating options in your binder. Or Google search food near Anschutz Medical Campus (Aurora, CO).

 

  • What do I do if I get a parking ticket?

Give your parking ticket to Amber or Kim and they will get it over to the finance team.

*Parking will be reimbursed so keep your receipts.*

  • What do I need to wear to PT or exercise?

Please wear comfortable clothing and appropriate shoes.  Example: sweatpants, tee shirt, athletic shoes.

Take water with you to your session.

 

  • Is there a Walgreens or drugstore on campus?

There’s a small Walgreens on the first floor of the Children’s Hospital, first floor of the VA east of campus, as well as an outpatient pharmacy and Atrium pharmacy in the University of Colorado Health buildings.

 

  • Who do I call if I’m going to be late for an appointment?

You will contact your case manager, either Meghan or Haley. Their numbers will be provided in email and your patient packet.

 

  • Can I leave my belongings in my telehealth room?

Yes, but please be sure to take your belongings with you to your final session of the day. 

 

  • Can I do telehealth sessions from my hotel room or CR?

Yes, but you will need to make sure that you have a good internet connection, and either a tablet or personal laptop to utilize for the visit.

 

  • Can I miss a group or appointment if I have conflict?

This will only be permitted if discussed with your provider and they approve of the absence.  We would like you to participate in ALL your sessions while you are with us at MIBH.

 

  • Can I use the AHWC gym on my free time?

Please discuss this with your PT to make sure you are cleared to workout independently.

 

  • What do I do if I’m locked out of my room at Col Row?

Please contact campus police to have your private room unlocked (303-724-4444).

*Do NOT attempt to enter your room from the exterior of the house.*
