Overview
The Marcus Institute for Brain Health (MIBH) at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus provides specialized care and research for Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Psychological Health (PH) conditions, including post-traumatic stress, depression, and anxiety. We are dedicated to serving:
- Former military personnel, particularly those discharged with "Other Than Honorable" or "Dishonorable" status due to TBI or PH challenges.
- First Responders and active-duty service members experiencing mild to moderate TBIs and ongoing neurological or psychological issues.
Our mission is to offer a comprehensive, personalized approach that addresses the complex symptoms associated with these conditions. We are committed to:
Program Highlights:
- Intensive Outpatient Care: A three-week program combining conventional medicine with complementary and alternative therapies for well-rounded treatment.
- Comprehensive Diagnostics and Treatment: Tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Patient and Family Education: Equipping patients and families with tools to manage symptoms and enhance quality of life.
MIBH collaborates with Veteran-serving nonprofits nationwide to provide exceptional care for Veterans affected by the invisible wounds of war. As a recognized center of excellence, we are part of a national network for TBI and PH care, advancing training, education, and research to continuously improve our care model.
