Charlene Hamrick, Sherry, is a Speech Language Pathologist and Certified Brain Injury Specialist. She comes to MIBH with 25 years of experience working with patients who have had brain injuries. She has spent more than 16 years working with adults in the outpatient setting helping her patients achieve their own functional goals such as returning to work, driving, and school. She has worked with veterans and young athletes who have had brain injuries addressing cognitive, language, social communication, voice, hearing, and swallowing deficits. Sherry has several family members who were in the military including her father, father-in-law, four brothers-in-law, a niece and a nephew. Her dad was stationed in France during World War II and her two brothers-in-law were in Vietnam. Sherry is passionate about interdisciplinary treatment and looks forward to joining this amazing team in helping our patients learn, grow, and achieve their personal goals. In her spare time, Sherry enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with her husband of 30 years, her four adult daughters, and her two rescue cats.
