About Our Program

JFK Partners supports the lives of individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) through interdisciplinary pre-service training, clinical services, continuing education, community training and collaboration, consultation and technical assistance, research, program development and evaluation, policy analysis, and dissemination of information that promotes our mission.

While located within the Department of Pediatrics of the University of Colorado School of Medicine, JFK Partners has faculty from other departments and schools through university partnerships. JFK Partners has been a university program since 1965 and is part of the Section of Developmental Pediatrics.

JFK Partners is designated as Colorado's University Center of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) and Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) Program, is part of the developmental disability community in Colorado, and the Association of University Centers on Disability (AUCD) network nationally. 

Mission:
The mission of JFK Partners is to lead the way in evidence-based interdisciplinary clinical care, education, research, and community partnerships to enrich the lives of children, youth, and adults with I/DD. At the core of our mission is a commitment to community-based, family- and person-centered care that addresses the unique needs of Coloradans.

Vision:
The vision of JFK Partners is to promote individuality, inclusion, active community engagement, and the health and well-being of all people with I/DD and their families.
