CYTOMETRY

Quantitate immune cells and marker expression in your sample

Flow cytometry

We offer comprehensive flow cytometry services, including antibody staining, sample analysis, and data interpretation. We assess cellular phenotypes, activation/inhibition markers, intracellular signaling, apoptosis, cell cycle, cellular assays, etc. We use the instruments in the CU Cancer Center Flow Cytometry Shared Resource.

Flow technology is optimal for analysis of any sample in single cell suspension (peripheral blood, PBMCs, disaggregated tissue). The cells can be live, fixed or viably frozen – as long as the antibodies work for your marker of inquiry and sample type. We have standard antibody panels for the BD Fortessa and the Cytek Aurora.

Mass cytometry

Generate new immune-related hypotheses using high parameter exploration

Using the Standard Bio Tools CyTOF XT, HIMSR helps generate immune-related hypotheses, identify immune cells, and analyze signaling pathways via mass spectrometry of heavy metal-conjugated antibodies. Samples can be live, fixed, or viably frozen. Signaling and cytokine assays use fresh samples with stimulation.

To minimize variability, we barcode up to 20 samples per experiment, allowing them to be stained and run together, with data analyzed individually. We offer standard antibody panels or can assist in creating new ones for your study. We also offer custom metal antibody conjugation and share them with the CU|AMC research community through the Cytof Antibody Bank.
