Seminar Series

DRC members have the opportunity to keep up-to-date on the cutting edge diabetes research on campus by attending a number of basic and clinical research seminars.

Of note, the DRC hosts a seminar series together with the Barbara Davis Center which features talks from noted clinical, translational and basic researchers from across campus and around the country.

The DRC Seminar Series for the fall of 2020 will be held virtually on Fridays at 12pm. 

 

Annual Symposium

The annual Diabetes Research Symposium brings researchers throughout the diabetes community together to discuss the cutting-edge diabetes research on campus. Highlights include an engaging poster session and the John Hutton Memorial lecture given by a distinguished researcher in the diabetes field.

Zachary Stensland, Awarded 2022-2023 Diabetes Fellowship

We want to recognize Zachary Stensland, Professional Research Assistant in Dr. Mia Smith's lab, who has been awarded the 2022-2023 Diabetes Center Fellowship. The award is made in recognition of Zach's past achievements and potential for future contributions to science. The fellowship includes $10,000 applied to the graduate program in addition to a $5,000 stipend. Congratulations Zach, we are so proud of you!!
