Katie earned her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science: Kinesiology from Central Michigan University and her master’s degree in public health with a concentration in Health Behavior from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She spent the last four years as a research assistant and project coordinator with the Durham VA Center of Innovation to Accelerate Discovery and Practice Transformation (ADAPT). Her research interests include Women Veteran’s health, access to care, and improving care and quality of life for patients with chronic illnesses.
