Dr. Iñigo San Millàn, director of the Sports Performance Program at the University of Colorado Sports Medicine Center in Boulder spoke with the Washington Post about metabolic efficiency in athletes. According to Dr. San Millàn, metabolic efficiency is the body's ability to switch between fat and carbohydrates to fuel exercise.
