Elliot (EJ) Gann PT, DPT, NCS

Dr. Gann completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) at the University of California San Francisco/San Francisco State University in 2018. He is a board certified neurologic clinical specialist who completed his residency training at Kaiser Permanente in Redwood City, CA. From 2019-2022, he worked as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science at the University of California at San Francisco where he treated patients and taught in the DPT program.

Dr. Gann has experience working with patients with neurologic diagnoses including stroke, traumatic brain injury, movement disorders, vestibular disorders, and spinal cord injury.

Research interests:

  • Functional electrical stimulation and telerehabilitation to improve walking function for people with Multiple sclerosis
  • Virtual reality vestibular rehabilitation to improve dizziness and motion sensitivity
  • Rehabilitation interventions to improve postural control for individuals with neurologic conditions including Multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, stroke, brain injury and vestibular disorders

At the University of Colorado, Dr. Gann will be involved in teaching the neurologic rehabilitation curriculum for physical therapy students and the Interprofessional Education Program. He will also continue to see patients with neurologic conditions at the UC Health outpatient clinic.
