Dr. Austin Boos was born and raised in the Midwest. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, with a concentration in Cell and Tissue Engineering. He completed his medical degree at Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Indianapolis. Dr. Boos went on to complete his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Northwestern University and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab in Chicago. He then completed a fellowship in Pain Medicine here at the University of Colorado. His clinical interests focus on applying critical appraisal and evidence-based principles to the care of patients with spine and chronic pain conditions. His research interests center on optimizing interventional techniques and integrating biopsychosocial approaches to improve patient outcomes in chronic pain management. Outside of medicine, Dr. Boos enjoys cooking, strength training, and spending time outdoors with his wife, Sarah, and their two dogs, Sasha and Sophia.
