Roberta “Robin” Beach, MD, MPH, professor emerita of pediatrics, died May 28, 2022. After graduating from Duke Medical School, Robin completed her internship and residency in pediatrics at the University of Colorado. She also earned a master of public health degree at University of California, Berkeley. Robin served in many leadership roles throughout her career, including director the CU Student Health Center; team leader of pediatric and adolescent clinics at Westside Health Center; and assistant director of community health services at Denver Health. 

Ronald J. Sokol, MD has accepted the role of Chief Scientific Officer, Child Health, effective May 1, 2022.

Alumni Receptions

We host a reception at the AAP National Conference and Exhibition each fall and the PAS meeting​ each spring. The Department of Pediatrics and Children’s Hospital Colorado are sponsoring an alumni reception on Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. in the Agate A-C room at the Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado Convention Center, 650 15th Street, Denver, CO. Self-parking is available in the hotel parking garage or valet parking. Resident Research Day

Resident Research Day celebrates the research accomplishments of our residents and their faculty mentors. Many of our residents participate in mentored-research projects, which are presented at Grand Rounds and displayed on poster boards at the Spring Poster Session. The featured speaker is an alum who has had a successful career in research.
