Marissa Jamieson, M.D.

Marissa Jamieson, MD Dr. Marissa Jamieson is an Orthopedic foot and ankle specialist. She was first introduced to the field of Orthopedics during college at Rice University in Houston, Texas where she was an All-America cross-country and track runner. Her team physician was a foot and ankle Orthopedic surgeon and inspired her to pursue the career. Dr. Jamieson is still an avid runner and marathoner and is very passionate about taking care of all athletes, and particularly runners.

After graduating from Rice University with a BA in Kinesiology- Sports Medicine she attended medical school in Dallas, Texas at the prestigious University of Texas-Southwestern. She then completed her residency at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio where she served as Chief resident in her final year of training. After residency she worked for one year as a General Orthopedic surgeon at The Ohio State University doing primarily trauma, foot and ankle, and joint replacement while her husband finished up his training in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus.

Dr. Jamieson then completed her fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at the renowned Steadman Clinic in Vail, CO under Dr. Thomas Clanton, a former Rice athlete himself, and Dr. Thomas Haytmanek.

Currently, Dr. Jamieson serves as an Assistant Professor in the department of Orthopedic surgery, Foot and Ankle division, at the University of Colorado.

In her free time, Dr. Jamieson enjoys spending time with her two young children and husband, hiking, biking, running, alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, traveling, and enjoying the mountains.
