What is the purpose of SPARK? 

SPARK is a research study for all autistic individuals, their families, and researchers. These groups work together to advance our understanding of autism. SPARK’s mission is to improve the lives of people with autism by identifying the causes of autism and helping to bring about more effective therapies, treatments, services, and supports. Over 140,000 people have joined SPARK for Autism!

Who can take part in SPARK?

You can take part in SPARK if you or your dependent(s):

  1. Have a professional diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This can include Asperger syndrome, autism/autistic disorder, and pervasive developmental disorder-not otherwise specified (PDD-NOS).
  2. Currently live in the U.S.
  3. Can read and understand English or Spanish.

All ages are welcome!

Who pays for SPARK?

The SPARK study is funded by the Simons Foundation and Simons Foundation International.
