Division of Hospital Medicine

Hospital medicine is a specialized field of internal medicine focused on the care of patients in the hospital. Hospitalists are physicians and advanced practice providers who manage a patient’s treatment from admission to discharge, working closely with nurses, specialists, and care teams to ensure high-quality, coordinated care. Our group is comprised of 120+ physicians, 55+ advanced practice providers, 13 fellows, and 15 data and administrative staff. At the Division of Hospital Medicine (DHM), we have a variety of providers, including generalists and sub-specialty clinicians in Medicine, Oncology, Geriatrics, Neurology, Stroke and Orthopedics. We care for about 40% of all patients at the University of Colorado Hospital.
