
Dr. Caldwell is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Diabetes. She received her PhD, BS and MS from the University of New Mexico and completed her postdoctoral training at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Her research program is driven by integrating the complex set of factors (physiology, psychology, and socio-environmental) that influence obesity treatment response. This work has been motivated to fill the urgent need to develop novel, more effective behavioral intervention approaches that lead to sustainable changes in health behavior, including increases in physical activity and reductions in physical inactivity. Her recent work has been focused on understanding behavior change approaches that are effective for individuals with overweight and obesity.
