Welcome to the Multidisciplinary Center on Aging

The Center on Aging actively partners with diverse partners in aging to disseminate ideas and innovations that impact older adults through strategic industry and community partnerships, advocacy, and innovative programming.

Research

Older adults are underrepresented in research and clinical trials. Active, relevant and engaging research is necessary to solve complex issues as we age, and the Multidisciplinary Center on Aging (MCoA) works collaboratively across campus to support research in various areas to improve the lives of older Coloradans.

Education

Health professions trainees and older adults have opportunities with the Multidisciplinary Center on Aging (MCoA) to further their education in healthcare, aging, and geriatrics through a variety of different training initiatives.

The Fall 2024 GeriCare Everywhere class, an initiative bringing older adult considerations to healthcare across various health fields.

Outreach and Engagement

The Multidisciplinary Center on Aging (MCoA) works to connect works to connect community, industry, government and campus to create innovative initiatives to help support aging in Colorado and beyond. There are a number of ways to get involved with the MCoA, including community offerings, consult services in geriatrics, and advocacy.

Age-Friendly University

CU Anschutz Medical Campus is a campus for the lifespan. As the 4th academic medical campus in the world to become an Age-Friendly designated university, Age-Friendly work across campus is led by the CU Anschutz Multidisciplinary Center on Aging and brings together representatives from across campus and the community to ensure that CU Anschutz Medical Campus is welcoming, easy to navigate, and accessible for all ages.
