Older Adult Research Specialist Consult Services

The OARS consult service offers researchers and professionals across various fields an opportunity to gain valuable outside perspectives on their projects. By collaborating with a group of specialists, participants receive tailored feedback and actionable recommendations for improvement. Through structured meetings, OARS helps refine ideas and initiatives, enhancing project outcomes and fostering innovative solutions for continued success.

Consult Service Process Flow

  • OARS Consult team receives consult request form and study background materials from research team
  • OARS Consult team reviews materials and consulting objectives to create report back to research team (approximately 2 weeks)
  • OARS Consult team meets to review feedback and prepares final recommendations back to research team
  • OARS Consult team meets with research team to provide feedback and resources for study improvement

OARS prepare notes → share with researcher, invite to do evaluation

 

Within 2 weeks of consult

OARS use 4th Tues meeting to finalize meeting notes

Consults are a free service available to research teams. OARS Consult Meetings are held virtual on the monthly, 2nd Fridays of each month from 9:30-10:45 am via Zoom.
