Department of Radiology Faculty Promotion and Tenure 

• Conversation with senior faculty about career accomplishments and professional goals
• Opportunity to ask questions and receive support from the Department of Radiology in preparation for promotion
• Discuss which promotion series is the right fit for your career goals
• Receive actionable and specific recommendations to help progress towards promotion

•       Assistant Professors due for Mid-Course Review prepare and submit a dossier to the Radiology Promotions Committee by the last Friday of March.
•       Each dossier is reviewed by 1-2 members of the Promotions Committee and then discussed at a full committee meeting for additional discussion and feedback
•       A summary email with recommendations will be issued to the Assistant Professor and their Section Chief by the end of April.

September:	Faculty are notified by Promotions Team if they need to submit for promotion in the upcoming cycle.
October:	Promotions Workshop
January:	Promotions Workshop
February:	Interfolio cases are created for faculty to upload documents. Contact details for letter writers due February 28th.
April-May:	Submit dossiers to P&T Committee. Dossiers accepted until May 31st
June-July:	Dossiers reviewed by P&T Committee
August:	Final dossier with any edits submitted to P&T Committee
September-October:	Dossiers are submitted to School of Medicine
November-June:	Dossiers are reviewed by SOM Faculty Promotions Committee and SOM Executive Committee.
July 1:	All approved promotions, appointment, and tenure requests are effective

 

• February 28th, 2026- References due for those going up for promotion
• March 27th, 2026- Deadline for midcourse review dossier submission
• May 31st, 2026- Deadline for promotion dossier submission
