Housestaff Association
Introduction
The Housestaff Association is an independent organization made up of residents and fellows at the University of Colorado Anschutz School of Medicine. The Association helps to present Housestaff needs to Graduate Medical Education, University, and Hospital leaders and to advocate for the wellbeing of the trainees during their residency and fellowship training periods.
Representation
The annually selected Housestaff Representatives and Officers meet monthly to exchange information regarding current concerns. Representatives serve on various standing committees within the system where decisions are made that affect graduate medical education, the Housestaff training experience, work environment, patient care, grievance procedures, and stipends and benefits. Our annual survey allows us to understand Housestaff concerns confidentially.
