At CU Anschutz Gynecologic Oncology, we provide expert care for complex, non-cancerous conditions that require advanced surgical and medical management. Our team treats conditions such as endometriosis, cervical dysplasia, placenta accreta, and benign ovarian tumors, using the latest techniques to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.
Cervical dysplasia is the abnormal growth of precancerous cells on the cervix, often caused by HPV. It has no symptoms and is usually detected through Pap smears. Mild cases may resolve on their own, while moderate to severe cases require treatments like LEEP, cryotherapy, or laser therapy. Regular screening and HPV vaccination are key to prevention.
The Gynecologic Oncology division at the University of Colorado Anschutz School of Medicine provides comprehensive treatments and services for all patients.
Because the University of Colorado Anschutz is a research-backed institution, our doctors can take on even the most complex cases, and patients receive the best and most modern care available.
Patients may also participate in the many available cancer research and clinical trials.
