Center for Fibroids and Menstrual Disorders

Fibroids and Abnormal Uterine Bleeding

At CU Anschutz OB-GYN we aim to help recognize and treat heavy periods and heavy menstrual bleeding. These can be caused by uterine fibroids, polyps, adenomyosis, problems with ovulation, or other medical conditions.

Our team offers advanced imaging and other tools to accurately diagnose your bleeding. Recommended treatment options may include medical therapies, long-acting reversible contraceptives, office procedures such as hysteroscopy, fertility-sparing fibroid removal surgery (myomectomy), embolization procedures, and minimally invasive hysterectomy.

Ovarian Cysts and Pelvic Masses

Our team can evaluate pelvic and gynecologic cysts and masses to help identify those that are concerning. We provide comprehensive counseling and minimally invasive surgical management when safe and feasible.

Innovative Treatments

We work with you to create individualized treatment plans that may involve minimally invasive surgeries and procedures. These include diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy, advanced laparoscopy, robotic surgery, and vaginal surgery.

Our Commitment

We aim to care for individuals from all backgrounds, races, ethnicities, genders, and sexual orientations. Our goal is to provide patient-centered care and to understand your personal story, priorities, and perspectives on your health.
