Our initiatives are guided by recurring hospital wellbeing survey data, ensuring that our efforts directly address the needs of faculty and trainees.

Psychological Safety, Professional Fulfillment & Upstander Culture

We foster a culture where all members feel safe, respected, and supported to speak up, thrive professionally, and contribute to a positive workplace.

Peer Support

We promote a culture of psychological safety and accountability through Peer Support initiatives and Trusted Advisor programs

Reading Room Environment & Ergonomics

We work to enhance the physical work environment by promoting ergonomic best practices and identifying opportunities to improve comfort, efficiency, and wellbeing in our reading rooms.

Mentorship

We support and partner with the Department's Mentorship Committee to strengthen mentorship opportunities across all career stages

Driven by the most recent 2026 wellbeing survey:

- Foster psychological safety, professional fulfillment, and an upstander culture through educational programs and interactive workshops in collaboration with the CUSOM Office of Equity.

- Promote and advocate for Peer Support Training, offered free of charge to CU School of Medicine employees, to expand our network of trained peer supporters and trusted advisors who can provide confidential support to colleagues following challenging clinical or workplace experiences.

- Partner with the Education Team to support trainee wellbeing initiatives, including dedicated upstander workshops for trainees and facilitated listening sessions to better understand and address their experiences.

- Improve the reading room environment and ergonomics to promote comfort, efficiency, and wellbeing.

- Support the Department's Mentorship Committee in advancing mentorship opportunities across all career stages.

- Use departmental and institutional wellbeing survey data to guide priorities and evaluate the impact of our initiatives.
