Students on the CU Anschutz Medical Campus

Arriving for your interview

We will meet you at the Anschutz Medical Campus, Fitzsimons Building, 7th floor. This is where the CHA/PA Program offices are located. The Fitzsimons Building is the historic hospital building located in the middle of campus. Please see additional information under the "Travel" tab.

You will need to arrive at the program offices no later than 8am. We recommend that you arrive on campus no later than 7:45am to allow ample time for campus navigation and parking. The visitor lots that are closest to our building are the Georgetown and Ignacio visitor lots on the north side of Fitzsimons. You can pay for parking through the kiosk in each parking lot. Once you have paid, a receipt will be printed that must be placed on your dashboard. You can also park in the Henderson Garage. You will have to pay upon exit at Henderson. If you park in the garage, please be sure to keep your blue/green entry ticket. The program is not responsible for parking violations.

The Interview Process

At 8:00 AM, you will check in, receive a name badge, and have your photo taken.

CHA/PA uses a mixed format of group and individual interviews. Thirty-six applicants are invited to interview in one of the four interview days that occur in September and October. Applicants will undergo one 15 minute individual interview, one 25 minute group interview, and one 25 minute group exercise. Each applicant will be interviewed by three different teams, consisting of a faculty member and a graduate, preceptor, or a member of the Office of Outreach and Inclusion. Interview questions typically do not have right or wrong answers, and you do not need to be prepared with specific information for the discussions. Applicants will also have the opportunity to learn more about the program through a Clinical and Didactic Presentation as well as a program video and an Admissions Discussion.Current students will join you for lunch and lead a campus tour. Please let us know if you have particular dietary needs at least two weeks before the scheduled interview day; we will do our best to accommodate them. The interview day will end around 3:00pm.

We will offer applicants positions to matriculate a class of 44. Each applicant is accepted, waitlisted, or declined. Admissions decisions will be made on a continuous basis beginning in September and end once the class is filled.

Applicants offered a position in the class must accept or decline the offer no later than the prescribed time in the acceptance letter, generally 10 business days. A nonrefundable tuition deposit of $1,000 must accompany the acceptance in addition to a fee for a criminal background investigation.

Final acceptance and matriculation is contingent upon passing a criminal background investigation, verification of outstanding prerequisites, and receipt of all official transcripts.

We recommend that you eat breakfast prior to your interview. We will provide snacks and beverages during the morning to help you remain relaxed and comfortable. Recommended dress is professional.

Try to relax and be honest! We are trying to get to know more about you.

There will be a walking tour of the campus if you wish to bring comfortable walking shoes and appropriate weather outerwear.
