About the IHQSE

Director's Welcome

Jeffrey Glasheen

Welcome to the Institute for Healthcare Quality, Safety and Efficiency (IHQSE). Our overarching goal is to fundamentally improve the care we provide our patients.

Since our founding in 2012, we have experienced tremendous growth and expansion guided by our mission of transforming through discovery, improvement and spread ,the people and processes that serve our patients.

The core foundation of the IHQSE is our team. Comprised of dedicated and gifted faculty, our team not only teaches the fundamentals of leadership, how to initiate change, and how to improve healthcare outcomes but they also guide and inspire participants to become better leaders and more effective catalysts of sustainable change. Our formula for success combines expert training, intensive, tailored coaching and a deep catalog of successful projects to tap into.

I invite you to take advantage of our extensive opportunities to help you transform your healthcare delivery system.

Improving Healthcare Through Transformation

Our formula for transformation combines our proprietary tools (IHQSE Model for Change, IHQSE Opportunity Identifier, and IHQSE Leadership Development Roadmap), expert training, intensive, tailored coaching, a deep catalog of successful projects to tap into, and a relentless drive for outcomes. Our offerings include in-person and interactive virtual programs for individuals, and organizational partnerships through The IHQSE Collective.

Creating Leaders

The IHQSE focuses on developing the capacity of frontline individuals and teams to:

  • Improve financial performance by removing frontline process inefficiencies
  • Lead change
  • Create a culture that values people and drives toward frontline improvement

Improving Patient Outcomes

Our programs are transformational because what we teach is immediately applied, whether in the process improvement, patient safety, or leadership realm. Support from robust, individualized coaching ensures that the skills you develop are directly linked to improving both your capabilities and the outcomes of the people and patients we serve.

Building High-performing Organizations

Organizational performance is a direct result of its people and processes. By developing healthcare leaders who can drive and sustain change, an organization can improve its quality, safety, and financial performance.

Through our enterprise-level offering, The IHQSE Collective, provides customizable membership options for organizations and health systems wanting to accelerate their organizational transformation.
