Dermatopathology Consultants

The University of Colorado Dermatopathology Consultants perform a variety of dermatopathology services including evaluation of wet tissue (skin), consultative opinions, and direct immunofluorescence. We offer advanced immunohistochemical analysis of skin biopsies, and in-situ hybridization for selected disorders. Our facility is certified by Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA).

Referrals and second-opinions or consultations from physicians in other states, as permitted by state regulations, are welcome.

Our board-certified dermatopathologists offer specific expertise in general dermatopathology and pediatric dermatopathology, including the evaluation of melanocytic lesions, alopecia, cutaneous lymphoma, and other disorders of the skin.

We are active in academic research and teaching, and maintain a close relationship with the University of Colorado Department of Dermatology and the dermatology residency program.
