In the publication, the authors present a case of a 16-year-old female with multiple chronic medical problems who developed acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) with SARS-CoV-2, was cannulated to extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), and ultimately died due to complications related to ECMO.
