The Department of Ophthalmology offers all eye care services, from routine examinations, prescriptions for glasses and contact lenses, surgical correction of vision, to comprehensive consultations in all sub-specialties of Ophthalmology as well as urgent and emergency care. We provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical expertise in the sub-specialties of glaucoma, cornea, external disease, allergy, uveitis, retina and vitreous, neuro-ophthalmology, low vision, reconstructive and plastic surgery, and disease of the orbit. The department also offers ancillary services in eye care ranging from visual field testing to fluorescein angiography, corneal mapping, retinal tomography, ophthalmoscopy, tonometry, pachymetry, gonioscopy, fundus photography, and laser therapy. Soon, prescriptions for glasses and contact lenses can be filled in our new optometry shop, conveniently located on the forst floor of the Eye Center (coming in 2016.)
Our specialists are Board Certified ophthalmic physicians and are actively involved in advancing the field ophthalmology. Through clinical and basic research, they have made valuable contributions to both the understanding and treatments of ophthalmic disorders.
