IT MATTTRs™ collaborated with several partners to provide a comprehensive collection of resources, induction protocols, forms, and information to assist practices in treating patients with opioid use disorder (OUD). The MATerials Resource Toolkit provides sample handouts, protocols, and procedures for practices to effectively treat or refer patients with OUD. The MATerials Toolkit is available online. Designed for primary care and behavioral health care teams, the IT MATTTRs Practice Team Training provides all members of the practice team information on OUD and MAT and supports team-based care for effective care. Have a question? Need to talk with someone with experience providing MAT? The National Clinician Consultation Center offers free and confidential clinician-to-clinician telephone consultation focusing on substance use evaluation and management for primary care clinicians. Consultation is available to clinicians anywhere in the country. Talk with addiction medicine-certified physicians, clinical pharmacists, and nurses with expertise in pharmacotherapy options for opioid use. Calls are taken Monday through Friday between 9am – 8pm ET. Voicemail is available 24/7.
Have a question? Yet another option for you is the HOMER Clinical Expert Group. This group includes primary care clinicians experienced with providing MAT who are part of the HOMER team.
