Alec is a data collector on the Family Matters team, joining in 2023. Alec gained his B.A. in nutrition from Saint John’s University, and his master’s in public health nutrition (MPH) from the University of Minnesota. 
After graduating from Saint John’s, Alec worked as a nutrition lab instructor at his alma mater, sharing his passion for food science with students. This work inspired him to gain his MPH, where he has connected his nutrition knowledge with a passion for food access, nutrition education, and applied research. 
In his spare time, Alec enjoys traveling, camping, and trying new foods with his wife and two chihuahuas, or enjoying the beautiful Minnesota seasons – on ski or on foot.
