Brooke Dorsey, PhD, MA, is Director of the ACCORDS Qualitative & Mixed Methods (QM2) Research Core and Associate Director of the Center to Advance Community Health (CACH). She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and provides methodological leadership to investigators conducting rigorous, theory-informed qualitative and mixed methods research.

Dr. Dorsey is an experienced qualitative and mixed methods methodologist with deep expertise across a range of qualitative approaches, including phenomenological, narrative, and historical methodologies, as well as qualitative components of complex mixed methods study designs. In her role as QM2 Core Director, she supports study design, data collection, analysis, and integration of qualitative and quantitative data across health services research, health policy, and program evaluation. She provides consultation and collaborative support to investigators on study design, data collection, analysis, interpretation, and dissemination.

Dr. Dorsey’s research advances community health and health equity, with a focus on maternal health and the social, structural, and contextual determinants of health across the lifespan. She specializes in community-engaged and participatory research approaches that center lived experience and generate actionable, sustainable evidence to improve health outcomes, particularly in medically underserved populations.
