People with serious illness have palliative needs that are usually unmet.
For many Coloradans with serious illness—particularly those in underserved areas—specialty palliative care is out of reach. As a result, primary care providers are often the front line for managing pain, symptoms and complex care decisions, even without dedicated training or support. This ECHO series equips PCPs with the tools to deliver high-quality primary palliative care through interactive, case-based sessions on topics including goals-of-care conversations, symptom management in serious illness (pain, nausea, constipation and fatigue), advanced care planning and end-of-life care. You’ll also learn how to build practice systems that make compassionate, whole-person care part of everyday care.
