At The Care Collaborative we believe frontline healthcare professionals deserve better access to specialized knowledge. So, every day we build connections across Colorado’s medical community—linking people with knowledge to drive high-quality, timely care where it’s needed most. Because when providers are informed and supported, Coloradans live healthier lives.
The Care Collaborative at CU Anschutz puts collaboration into practice through a simple belief: specialty expertise should reach clinicians where they deliver care. Rather than depending on referrals, long waitlists or patient travel, we build systems that move specialty knowledge, bringing timely guidance directly into healthcare settings across the state. At the center of this work is an integrated model that combines two complementary approaches—eConsults and ECHO—to deliver both immediate clinical guidance and long-term workforce development. Together, they form a continuous learning system that strengthens care in real time while building lasting local capacity.
Providers share knowledge and experiences during ECHO sessions, creating a virtual community that leads to a stronger healthcare network and improves lives in Colorado.

An eConsult asynchronously connects primary care providers and CU Anschutz School of Medicine specialists for consultation on patient care. eConsults make it easier and more affordable for patients to receive the care they need.
