Since its inception in 1972, the primary goal of the Renal Training Program has been to provide innovative training for the future leaders of nephrology to excel in their roles as clinicians, researchers and teachers. We are dedicated to training our fellows in all aspects of patient care, research and medical education. Fellows care for patients with wide variety of kidney, hypertension, transplant and fluid and electrolyte disorders alongside faculty dedicated to fellow education. Over 200 postdoctoral fellows have been trained in the Division of Renal Diseases and Hypertension. A substantial number of these individuals are involved in academic careers throughout the United States and at the University of Colorado Denver Anschutz Medical Campus itself.
