Mark Babcock, MSW, LCSW

Behavioral Health Clinician

 


 

Mark was one of the first clinicians to join the MIBH in 2017 as a psychotherapist specializing in mild and moderate traumatic brain injury rehabilitation. He is a Senior Instructor appointed in the School of Medicine at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Mark has over 30 years of experience working in brain injury in both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings. He received his Master’s degree in Social Work with a specialization in Mental Health from Virginia Commonwealth University. As a licensed psychotherapist since 1990, he is trained in the major orientations of psychotherapy. Mark also specializes in trauma therapy and has been providing EMDR Therapy since 1997. His graduate school internship was at the behavioral health clinic at Fort Lee, Virginia. Mark’s first job after graduate school was at the Family Service Center at Naval Air Station Oceana. Mark’s family has a long history of serving in the military dating back to the Revolutionary War. Mark takes an active, action-oriented approach to therapy. He is passionate about working with the unique behavioral health care needs of Veterans and First Responders who have experienced traumatic brain injuries, and service-related traumatic stress and moral injury.
