Dr. Leffler is a member of the Parkinson's Foundation People with Parkinson's Advisory Council and a care partner to her husband, Gary. She is a retired Clinical Psychologist and Registered Nurse.

Gary is a Parkinson's Foundation Ambassador who has lived with Parkinson's Disease since 2017. He is a Viet Nam veteran and retired community manager.

Meredith Roberts Lo, DPT has been specializing in neurorehabilitation since 2005. She travels nationally and teaches other professionals how to take current research and translate it into practice when working with people with Parkinson's. Currently, she has founded the nonprofit Parkinson's Pointe to support the Parkinson's community through community connection, PD-specific exercises and lifestyle education in Littleton, Colorado.

Sarah Tagliavia graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy of Physical Therapy in 2011. She has spent the last 15 years treating patients with neurological, vestibular, and orthopedic conditions. Over the last 10 years, Sarah has specialized primiarily in the treatment of patients with Parkinson's disease obtaining treatment certifications through LSVT BIG, Parkison's Wellness Recovery, and the Parkinson's Foundation. She enjoys working with patients to achieve their full potential every day.

Hillary Lum, MD, PhD is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Geriatrics at CU Anschutz. She is a geriatrician at UCHealth Seniors Clinic. As a geriatric physician, she provides primary care for older adults and serves as the medical director for the CU Medicine GUIDE dementia program. Her research focuses on advance care planning, dementia care, and caregiver support. She serves on the Colorado Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias Action Coalition.

Dr. Baumgartner is an assistant professor of neurology and neurosurgery at the University of Colorado Anschutz. As a member of the Advanced Therapies in Movement Disorders program, he evaluates and treats patients with deep brain stimulation and other surgical therapies for PD, and performs intraoperative monitoring and assessments during DBS surgery. His research interest is in sleep and other non-motor PD symptoms, and how these systems might be affected by DBS.

This event is located on the Anschutz Medical Campus in the Anschutz Health Sciences Building. The address for this event is 1890 N. Revere Court, Aurora, CO 80045. The event is in the Elliman Conference Center on the second floor. 

You can enter through the west entrance of the building. We will have staff at the door to assist you in and direct you to the event. This entrance has a drop-off and is accessible.

Parking will be prepaid for attendees in the Vail parking lot and the Cheyenne Wells Parking lot. The parking lots are pay lots, but we are paying for parking and you do not need to visit the meters!

We will have a light breakfast with vegetarian and gluten-free options available. Breakfast will include coffee and tea. There is also a station to fill water bottles. Feel free to bring your own water bottle to fill.

Lunches will be boxed lunches. Options will include dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegetarian options, such as sandwiches and salads.

If you have additional dietary restrictions, you are welcome to bring your own snacks or reach out to [email protected] to see if additional dietary restrictions are available.

• The room temperature varies greatly on the weekend. Please be sure to dress accordingly and bring layers.
• We encourage you to bring your own water bottle. There are refill stations on site.
• We will provide you with a small notebook and pen, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer.
• There will be opportunities to collect information from organizations and community partners, a tote bag may be useful.

All attendees will be sent the link to attend virtually before the conference, along with directions to the facility. However, we ask that you let us know as soon as possible, either way, so that we can accommodate in-person and virtual needs to the best of our abilities. Please email [email protected].

Some speakers do allow us to share a PDF of their slides upon request. However, we generally do not share slides with attendees. Information changes rapidly and because there is so much content in the slides, sharing this resource is difficult. 

Attendees have found taking pictures of slides they feel are valuable to be a good workaround for this.

However, all presentations are recorded and will be available a few weeks after the event on our YouTube channel.
